Custer
No figure in history is more associated with a single event
than George Armstrong Custer. Ever since his so-called “last
stand” on the plains of southeastern Montana, Custer
has been forever tied to disaster. Yet the battle was but
one chapter in a fascinating and otherwise wildly successful
life.
Custer follows this American icon
from his childhood in Ohio to the U.S. Military Academy
at West Point. We ride with the “Boy General”
into the Civil War and then join him at the vanguard of
America’s march into the west. Finally, we relive
the Battle of Little Bighorn, the end for Custer and his
men, and the beginning of the end for America’s native
peoples.
